Review: Really like this series. I was a little slow with reading the book, but it did not fail to be a fast pace story that had so many twists and turns. I can’t decide whether Tanner or Nate should get the honor of being with Serena. It was such a fun mystery. I am already looking forward to the next book. I found that so much was resolved with Serena and her Nana. It also added some details to her Grandfather’s death. I always love the idea of a secret passage. To me that is the coolest thing! I love the writing and the characters!! This story had many twists and turns enough to keep you on your toes. There many funny moments that broke the tension.

Review: Interesting book, it is a great resource or jumping off point. It best point is to better structure my prayers. The most important thing for me is that there is a topical index. The prayers varied in length and each one had a scripture reference. However they do not have a close which allows for the individual to add more personal ideas. I think this book is a good place for a new believer or someone who appreciates the need to provide discipline to their prayers.

Review: Great pictures to color. There are varied pictures of complex to simple with pictures that depict the Advent season. They look to be a great break from the harried holiday season. It is probable one of the few coloring books I would buy for me. It was great to go from picture to picture thinking of the colors that show off each picture the best. From beginng to end each picture depicts the Christmas season.

Summary: I found the book a bit slow for me. I usually love Irene Hannon books, this time I struggled to get through it at times. Dana was a unique character and her back story was interesting. Finn seemed a little flat, at the start, after all the build of from the other books. I wished I was more engrossed in the story line. It was only at the end that I found the twist at the end very exciting. The ending made the entire book worth it.

Review: Fantastic Book!!!! What a personal testimony, and a very relevant topic for today. Sadly I had to agree with many of his views. I think that never before has someone on the inside of the pastorate admitted that something is radically going wrong with our churches and it starts many times from the man in the pulpit or the leadership. I heard for years it is not the people in the pews that are destroying the church, it is the leadership. It also seemed so sad that pastors feel like they can not be real with the very people who are wishing them the most success. His stories that add depth to the call for pastors to become vulnerable and authentic with the leadership and congregants. I found this book to be more for every church goer so that everyone in the church can help those in need. Because being authentic with people in the church is the hardest thing to do, most people do not really know how to come alongside others and bare one another’s burdens.

Review: Loved the feel of the book. The pictures were great! Lots of space for journaling. Loved the cover of the journal. It is fun to color in the book and go through the journal. The only criticism is that the book was too short, I like a journal that allows for writing in it for more than 5-6 months. It is easier to keep going after a month and it was disappointing to come to the end so quickly.

Review: Fantastic storyline and enjoyable characters. I found this to be the best of the series, along with the book being one that could be read as a stand alone. There was a lot going on at one time. Which made for a fun ride, at times so much was going on it was like an out of control car. It was worth every minute. I found this story to be the best book Colleen Coble has written. The twists were clever and worth every one of them. Kate and Drake were the leads, however the mystery was so intense that it was not until the end that the layers of this onion were so interwoven and well written. The mystery played out so clever that the end was too fast. That is really my only complaint - the end came to fast.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun storyline and yet quite serious. When Christina’s mother shows up it changes everything. It is quite easy to go through this book without having read the previous book. I really enjoyed the characters and storyline. In many cases it was easy to empathize with Christina. It was a real pulling on the heart strings at some points. There was humor scattered within the story which gave me a break from the tears. Made me want to read the whole series.

Review: I really wanted to see a fast paced novel like the first one, but for me that did not happen. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline was interesting, but it was not as engaging for me. Trudi and Sam were interesting. I found ‘Nevermore’ to be unexciting. It was the big mystery. Unlike the previous book the shift between events lacked the excitement that Annabel Lee had. The reoccurring theme of Edgar Allen Poe was interesting, however in this book it seemed to be more forced. I did find Raven to be a character of good depth and even the villains were well written with very human characteristic which made the end sad. I did find the characters were so realistic is why I am looking forward to the next book.

Review: This was a great book! Although I am reading it out of order it was a stand alone and nothing was revealed to ruin the previous books when I get around to reading them. I really liked all the characters, although Lydia’s mother was difficult they were well written. The characters had flaws, like real people. This story held enough suspense that it kept my interest, yet as always Shelley Gray is a great writer and I have not yet read a book of hers that I did not like. I am looking forward to reading the first two books.

Review: Enjoyed the book overall. I had trouble at the start because Beth was just plain stuck up. I was glad that she came down to earth half way through. Isabella was starting to go back to the less than gracious woman from the previous book. It was a little slower than the first and second book. I liked that there were 2 mysteries going on at once. It was an easy read, although it took me till almost half way to really get into the book. I did like Mike and Nate. Nate’s character was the most constant of all the characters.

Review: I loved the storyline it pulled me in right away. I found Savannah to be very realistic and well written. The storyline flowed very well and the mystery was great. I found the dialogue and the plot were well written. There was enough mystery going on that held my attention. The plot moved at a good speed and before I knew it the end was at hand. So much was happening that it truly was hard to figure out who was the murderer. Clive was just as much of a mystery at the start and as the story progressed the details of who he was were provided. This truly was a great book because little than big mysteries were revealed which kept me hanging on.

Review: Good book on the elements of worship. Interesting for a new convert or for someone who is thinking about worship. Agree with the music during worship, but number one thing I found interesting is how the music of hymns were sometimes tavern tunes. I do not mind modern tunes, but I do believe much of music in church is like a concert not for the congregation. I attended worship where no one sage the hymns because the stylization was not in sync with the screen or in the program. The look of a sanctuary and how things in the building are labeled are all important. I also think that how we view going to church is important. This book was packed with the varied views of other denominations.

Review: I struggled with the book. I found Ella to be young and immature. She had good instincts, but did not always use them. I enjoyed the secrets, however so little of that secret was revealed until almost 1/3 of the story. I struggled because I am not one who likes a saga. So for me it was a mistake to pick up this book. I was dazzled by learning a long held secret. The writing was solid, and the characters did mature. But overall this was not my favorite type of book.

Review: This was a little shaky at first. He starts out talking about how you make the decision for God and later says God chooses who is saved. With these unexplained conflicting concepts he sets the stage for leaving America and go to foreign soils to convert people. He repeatedly speaks of making disciples of people, yet he never says what that looks like in specifics. He spent a lot of time stressing moving to foreign countries because they are excited about the gospel, while this is true, it does not mean that we abandon our home country. Wouldn’t we be chasing a high as if we are the converters of man and not the Lord. Jesus told a parable of spreading seeds. Not all had permanent firm growth. Discipleship is not a week or 2 it is several years. One must become soaked in the Bible not dunked and be expected to know the entire Bible. I think creating disciples is important, but how that works is becoming soaked in the Bible and since it is such a rich book speed can not replace prayer and time. While I applaud his excitement, this begs the question why leave your pulpit if you think the American church is lukewarm. That should make one more committed to the local church. Could this be to catch the high of conversions? To me that is not my purpose. Planting seeds and walking with people to come to know Christ and/or grow in their knowledge of Him.

Review: Great fast paced story. A great follow up to Always Watching and yet a good stand alone book. It was a thrilling mystery and with some intense moments. While the who done it was easy to solve the ‘why’ was the biggest mystery for me. Even the final surprise was something I expected. But, Ms. Eason taught me in her last series to expect the unexpected!! Her books hit to the quick and make turning pages the only way to make my heart stop pounding!! I loved Daniel, he was a great hero. He needed protecting and yet not really. He was able to take care of himself and yet when the assault comes from a distance no one can defend themselves. Review: Saw this book at Lifeway and I really wanted to read it, but I could not get it that day. For a great deal on Amazon I got the ebook. Less than a week later here we are. I stayed up late to read a portion of it! I was hooked! Well written, with enough hints I had ideas about what was a shadowy mystery. The only problem was a stupid mistake that Trudi made and I could not believe she did it!!!!! That bugged me! But it helped bring about the climax. I was holding my breath and I still wish that some things did not happen. However, I realize that had they not happened the majority of the book would have been unnecessary. It was a fast and furious ride for the most part and I enjoyed every minute of it!!!

Review: Fantastic end to a great series!!! I will miss Amber & Hannah! What a fun combo along with Pam, Preston, Tate and all the other characters that makes this a fantastic series!!!! The suspense of from the start made me rush to get to the grand finale! It was not surprise that Ryan was the victim since the book starts with that event. The rewind made for a puzzling that was fun to put together. I Loved how the series ended with all strings tied up. The transformation from the first to last book was great. I especially like that despite it being part of a series it was a stand alone book. Yes, much had changed, but it does not ruin the mysteries that take place in the previous books. It is almost sad to say goodbye to these characters.

Review: I love Ms. Chapman’s writing. Her characters are relatable and realistic. The storylines are realistic and easy to read. Yet, for me, I do not like this type of story. I tried really hard to enjoy the topic, yet I found it tragic. Her descriptions were realistic and scary. I think that Shell was a little self serving at times. Understandable at times. This was more for a prepper or doomsday enthusiastic type. I am not that type of person. I have enjoyed all of her book previously and believe I will enjoy her books after this series. The books are well written and well thought out. Ms. Chapman is truly a gifted writer and normally a favorite of mine, but had this been written by anyone else, I would have quit after 30 pages.

Review: This is part two a series. I find the pace to be fast and steady. It was a pretty quick read. The setting is Tennessee, Nashville more specifically with great writing and well written. I am now looking forward to the third in this thrilling series. There are two story lines going on at once. One is the current mystery and the other is Nikki’s missing sister. Both are gripping. If you did not read the first book it does a decent job of providing details about the need to know things from book 1 without spoiling the book. The current mystery takes up the majority of the time with a lot of action and sadly death. While there is violence it is not in graphic detail nor over blown. The transitions from one event to another are mostly smooth and easily followed. The ending was like watching the end of a fireworks display, in some respects you sit and process the details and in another respect you were wishing it could continue. Overall a great mystery with a thrill of romance/friendship, Just enough details that kept me hooked.

Review: This was a who done it mystery with a good twist! I enjoyed the characters and the setting on a farm. It was great fun to read about the things goings on with a farm. I did find that there were some slow spots, but overall the story flowed throughout the book. This was a second book in a series and it was easy to catch up with the things that had gone before. The new romance for Kelsey was nice and did not take up the entire book it was well woven into the book. There were a lot of characters, yet they were easy to keep track of and well developed.

Oh how wonderful and awful the events of life. A great gift to die being able to say goodbye and yet so awfully sad to loose this wonderful soul who has taught much to the church in such a short time. I want to live an ordinary life that touches lives like Kara and her family. What a tremendous role model. I have read a similar theme, but that was not autobiographical. This was more personal, more of soul kiss. I cried as the book progressed. Thank to the family and friends of the Tippetts for gifting me with insights that will last forever. Life has never seemed more real than through Kara’s eyes.

Review: Fantastic book!!! Read it slow and think about the various Biblical references. He has such insight about God’s plan for marriage. I found the topic thought provoking and worth praying about. I agree that marriage changes as time continues. I agree with Mr. Thomas when he talked about all the books that abound on have a ‘happy marriage’ in the earthly sense, he sees contentment and satisfaction is a choice. Another excellent point is that marriages that are me centered is not the point of marriage. It is other centered. As that topic and idea was explored it was freeing and frightening. Yet, that is exactly how our relationship with God. It explored out others are most important and that you have to pray and love your spouse without wanting to get anything, oh that is so hard. Mr. Thomas has such insight into relationships and the Bible it is a wonderfully freeing concept with biggest question being reward in heaven or on earth. If I seek only getting for me from my relationship than I will have my reward, if I seek my husband’s best than I will see the Lord in my marriage and thus my reward will be in heaven. One of the best things that was tapped into is that even if my husband does not give me attention or affection, I will always have God, who cares for me more than anyone else does. This was a great comfort. It was such a comfort to know that Mr. Thomas sees both sides of the coin when talking to couples and wants the best for both. It is a must read for newlyweds to those who are celebrating a golden anniversary.

Review: Really enjoyed this story. Unfortunately I started out confusing this series with the Hope Beach series. I finally did get straighten out due to Claire and her sister. I found the rustic life in Maine to be fun and as rural as Maine truly is. I enjoyed the characters, although Mallory tended to hold onto the past a little too much. Her neighbor Carol was well written. The book had some twists and turns I was not expecting which makes it a must read in my book. I liked the theme of forgiveness that was running through the book. Kevin was great, the best character of all. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I thought that finding her birth father was exciting and that her father truly had changed life in Christ. While the books are great and Colleen Coble does have a theme of Christianity running through it she has decreased the intensity of it and Mallory’s birth father was the strongest Christian in the book with Kevin being 2nd. I really loved that part. It was not preachy just a factual change of life. Those are something that can speak the loudest. I hope her books continue to be that way.

Review: Great Characters and story line. The two mysteries were great for thinking and trying to guess who did the crime and what happened. I think the premise of the story was great! The details were a little overwhelming! Almost too many characters and too much going on at times. I loved Evie, the character was well written and enjoyable. Great procedural story with a lot of details about an overwhelming amount of information. Took a bit of time to get through the book, like going through each of Evie’s files. I liked all the characters, but sometimes the characters are lacking in a way to connect.

Review: Great set of authors that come together for an equally great story from each of them!!!

Missing - Intense beginning with an exciting adventure to find John’s mom. The speed of the story was fantastic! A lot happened in a the brief pages of this story. About two thirds of the way through the book his mom is found safe and sound. Than unravelling the mystery begins. From start to finish a great read and quite a fast one at that.

Shadowed - A blast from the past. Well captured in this story! The year is 1979 and Libby and Ben, the parents of the McKenna clan are meeting for the first time. A bit of nostalgia, without having to wear the clothes or live through the time again - or perhaps for some the first time. Laying the ground work for the McKenna house and excitement of Alaska rolled into one.

Blackout - Heart pounding and intense story. From the first line to the end this roller coast caps off the book with a true grand finally. The lead characters were flawed and realistic. Macey was not the straight arrow most lead characters are portrayed. Chad was a great lead with some shyness showing throughout. It was well written garnering sympathy for those who died and root for justice to be done. Loved Lilly and want to know when her mystery and romance will happen!

Review: Great story telling. I really was hesitant to start this book, because I loved the last series so much I wondered if this one would be just as good. It was! I loved Jonathan’s father so well written and full of himself yet life changes people and he was no exception. Camille was a real strong person along and Jonathan was a great white knight. He was quick to rush in and save Camille. There were some mild surprises and one big one!!!

Review: Love this series!! Great suspense, I do love a book that takes off with a bang and keeps the tension at a level where you do not know when the next big event will be!! That is what this book did for me. Great to see characters from previous books, the characters are well written and keep the story interesting. I love Danny and Bailey. One of my favorite characters was Angel. He was a great sidekick, that was written well enough to be and equal to Danny. I enjoyed reading all about Robyn’s sister. This entire series is fantastic!

Review: This one started off with a bang! Danny the man who dies was a fantastic character and I was sad that he was the victim. I true man who lived out his Christianity authentically. There were two mysteries going on at once. One a murder and totally unrelated was jewelry that was hidden in a scavenger hunt was never found. I loved both of them!! Nikki and Hunter were part of it along with Isabelle and Nate, Nikki’s boss & partner. It just kept getting better and better as it progressed. The mystery did not come together until then end and for someone who likes to guess the ‘who did it’ there was no way to do that!! Which was awesome. Characters were rich and well written with a real life kind of interaction.

Review: Great start to a new series!!! Doesn't take to long to get into the murder. It made me think that about coming upon something illegal and even though you report it does no mean that person doesn't get pegged for it. I really enjoyed Nikki and some of the other underlying events that were going on. For me that kept the suspense going without it being too intense. I always like to be kept waiting for the who did it and this one did not disappoint. I really am hooked on this series. Looking forward to finishing the second book and to start the third book!!!

Review: I love Beverly Lewis and her books. I liked Lucy and felt great empathy for her. She had a multitude of reasons to be lost. Even though there were problems within the family with decisions and communication I found that all were tolerable to really likable. The tension about families moving to Colorado and those staying was unique. I find that the story flowed smoothly from beginning to end. I enjoyed the secondary characters, although I would have liked Tobe to have been in the story more. While his character was forth right, he was so likable and well written. Not perfect, but a true gem of a character.

Review: I just love the flow that Lori Copeland writes with. She is so gifted, that is why I continue to read her books. They are so real and also they speak to something that is decreasing in Christian Books - Jesus. She is believable with her story telling and even when the topic is hard to deal with she manages to make it empathetic and interesting. I really enjoyed these characters. I did not like Gideon very much and that was OK. I was with Elly about the geese and I have a problem with things like that too. Bo was almost too good true. Although, I did not like him at the very beginning and I really liked the changed Bo. Elly was great, although the work that girl did was overload. I kept thinking that I needed a rest after she rested. While there was great sadness, the overall tone was realistic. The book flowed so smoothly that it was a quick and enjoyable read!

Review : I loved this book!!! It starts off with a bang and flows from there. Serena is every woman: strong, secure, insecure, attractive, a daughter and a friend! It was a great introduction to a new series. The secondary story to bring the read up to date on who Serena was and the history she had with many of the secondary characters were well written and just enough to leave me wanting more. Serena was complex and had great depth. The story ends with the major current case resolved, but the case involving her grandfather is just starting. This is a double story line and I loved it!!! I want to see more of Tanner, Billy, Zoe, Jax and Nate. I love the picture painted of Serena’s apartment. It is an apartment, yet a home with History! Once her aunt’s place and yet a home. It seems so real I want to visit it!!! This is a must read book in my opinion!

Reeling from the death of his fiancée and the revelation about his father, Tal begs Drew to find out what's going on. Drew, now questioning his own ability to see people as they really are, does so reluctantly, not ready for the secrets he's about to uncover--or the danger he'll bring down on everyone he holds dear.

Review: I really love mysteries. This one starts a little slow for me. It was about 35% in when the story started rolling. So much happens that twists the beginning into a different picture. I found the beginning to be forced to me. I get the Regency part, but all the quoting of Austen was wasted on me. I like a more subtle method. I found the mystery to be interesting and was thinking about who was behind the murders and who was the least obvious. That led me to the real culprit and the how of the second murder was clever. To me the surprise was the undercover agent. That was a nice twits. It is worth reading. The characters were realistically written, this book had a more morose tone and gave a lot of pause for thinking about how fleeting life is. I always love when the truth of the Bible is talked about, although I do not recall as much about Jesus.

Review: I once again enjoyed this series. I was glued to the book from the start. I will admit that I have missed some of the book since Kitty Kitty Bang Bang, and I was sad that Mel and Grey broke up. I now have to read all the books just to get caught up. I find the stories to have enough suspense to go along with the interactions of Mel and Betty. I always enjoy how the story flows and is easy to read. The characters are well developed and well written. I find that the story line is not gory and there is little cursing. I love how the characters interact and the writing is smooth. Each time I read one of the books the more I like the series. I also believe, since I have done it, that you can jump into the middle of the series without missing a beat.

Review: Jen Turano is one of my favorite authors!!! I loved this series thoroughly!!! I can not wait for more books from her. I read this book so quickly that I was sad when it was over. The characters are well developed and I think her characters are fantastic. There is a great balance between mystery and humor. Every single character is richly written and each story I have read is fun filled and fast paced. The only consolation I have is Jen Turano will write more books!!! My only wish is that I was just picking up my first book By Jen Turano. Unfortunately the only thing I can do is wait for the next book.

Review: This was a great read!! Fast paced but not so fast I had to put it away to keep my heart from racing so fast. I loved the story. The stalking that escalates. How does he/she know when, where and what the victim is doing. I did guess the who, but it was great to see it all come together. Olivia and Wade were great together. I found the various incidents were heart pounding enough and the breathing room in between was necessary. I liked the way the story unfolded without giving away too much. The whole reveal of who the stalker was and the accomplice got revealed in parts and was very clever. The ending was suspenseful and the whole book was exciting. Great start to the a new series. Can’t wait to read the rest of them.

Detective Judd Malone looked past me. "Are those the cats?"
I nodded.
"What kind are they? They’re huge."
"They’re Bengal cats. Bengals are a hybrid. A cross between a domestic cat and an Asian Leopard Cat. It’s a relatively new breed. Most have . . ." Malone’s face said TMI. Fair enough, more info than he’d been looking for.

She’d been shaken, and Kitty was never shaken. I remembered her voice as she’d asked me to take care of Tobey and Minou and get them home. The cats. What would happen to the cats now? "Was she driving too fast?"
"Not exactly." Malone’s voice was serious and grim. "We won’t know until we have a lot more information from the crime lab. It’s too soon to tell, but it may have been a case of road rage. Kitty Bardot was shot."


Review: I do not know why I like these books so much. Although they are great mysteries and I love the characters. I thought that Kitty’s daughter was the best, April May call me June was a blast to sit back and watch her go. Between Caro torn between liking June (April May call me June) and wanted to be as far away from her as possible. That character had me laughing out loud. It put the mystery on the back burner and I did not mind it a bit. While June was being herself, the mystery was rolling along and Caro was finding clues. It just seemed so simple and seamless yet putting all that together takes talent. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Review: Great start to this new series. This was an exciting story with some great twists along the way. This was a well written and exciting story. Griffin and Finley were fun and I am looking forward to future stories. This was an interesting story with a lot of loose ends with is Luke alive and who will Kate end up with. The new characters are exciting. I do hope that the next story are going to go to have the twists and turns this one did. There was so much going on and yet there was down time to regroup and give the reader a break. The storyline was very interesting with lots of surprises. There were several things going on that with the men’s youth connections and the murder they were trying to solve. For me it is always a hesitation to start a new series especially if the previous series was so good.
