Ms. Bradley has a gift of painting a picture with words. Ainsley is just the right character, she is back in town for work and meets up with Lincoln, who she had a very close relationship . Her Aunt and Grandmother live in Natchez, Mississippi along with her father who she has a strained relationship with. There is a murder hunting Ainsley for putting in him in jail and another thief who would stop at nothing to get the journals that Ainsley’s Aunt uncovered. It was an intense ride trying to figure out. I saw that the next installment is Deception released 08/02/22.

Yet throughout the book the characters were developed even without reading the other books in the series. Heather’s friends and new characters were added and quickly folded into the situation. I enjoyed it so much that I tried to slow down reading it and could not do that, however just when I am waiting for the conclusion the speed of suspense explodes and suddenly it all gets sorted out. I always enjoy Ms. Eason’s writing style is excellent. She is a master of suspense - she always surprises. She develops her characters quickly with a few strokes of the keys they are genuine. Review: For me I had a hard time getting through this book. I really did not like Jane in the beginning and found Thora to be an imitation of Dame Maggie Smith’s character from Downton Abbey which fell flat for me. I really like Julie Klassen’s books, but for me this was difficult to get through. Jane started out weak. There were way to many secondary characters introduced in a short period of time to keep up with. It took too long The fighting was more than I would like. I finally gave up trying to enjoy the book.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. The twists and turns were fun. I also liked Mark the most. It was a well written book with a good struggle about faith. Mercy had a lot going on. She was someone who was struggling. Despite this she was empathetic at times, although she had a lot of baggage. The story was realistic in the fact that drug trafficking seems to be overwhelming. They way the ending went it was tense and things seemed to go well than the twists and turns began. Definitely a series to look forward to.

Review: I enjoyed this devotion very much. From the cover to the daily devotions it is a winner. The devotions were heart felt and truly enlightens the scripture. It is a great jumping off point to deeper thought and reflection. I found myself wanting to read ahead to know what insights God gave to Joni. I always think gleaning things from other Christians helpful and useful for growth. This will be a useful book for years to come.

Review: Really like this series. I was a little slow with reading the book, but it did not fail to be a fast pace story that had so many twists and turns. I can’t decide whether Tanner or Nate should get the honor of being with Serena. It was such a fun mystery. I am already looking forward to the next book. I found that so much was resolved with Serena and her Nana. It also added some details to her Grandfather’s death. I always love the idea of a secret passage. To me that is the coolest thing! I love the writing and the characters!! This story had many twists and turns enough to keep you on your toes. There many funny moments that broke the tension.

Review: Interesting book, it is a great resource or jumping off point. It best point is to better structure my prayers. The most important thing for me is that there is a topical index. The prayers varied in length and each one had a scripture reference. However they do not have a close which allows for the individual to add more personal ideas. I think this book is a good place for a new believer or someone who appreciates the need to provide discipline to their prayers.

Review: Great pictures to color. There are varied pictures of complex to simple with pictures that depict the Advent season. They look to be a great break from the harried holiday season. It is probable one of the few coloring books I would buy for me. It was great to go from picture to picture thinking of the colors that show off each picture the best. From beginng to end each picture depicts the Christmas season.

Summary: I found the book a bit slow for me. I usually love Irene Hannon books, this time I struggled to get through it at times. Dana was a unique character and her back story was interesting. Finn seemed a little flat, at the start, after all the build of from the other books. I wished I was more engrossed in the story line. It was only at the end that I found the twist at the end very exciting. The ending made the entire book worth it.

Review: Fantastic Book!!!! What a personal testimony, and a very relevant topic for today. Sadly I had to agree with many of his views. I think that never before has someone on the inside of the pastorate admitted that something is radically going wrong with our churches and it starts many times from the man in the pulpit or the leadership. I heard for years it is not the people in the pews that are destroying the church, it is the leadership. It also seemed so sad that pastors feel like they can not be real with the very people who are wishing them the most success. His stories that add depth to the call for pastors to become vulnerable and authentic with the leadership and congregants. I found this book to be more for every church goer so that everyone in the church can help those in need. Because being authentic with people in the church is the hardest thing to do, most people do not really know how to come alongside others and bare one another’s burdens.

Review: Loved the feel of the book. The pictures were great! Lots of space for journaling. Loved the cover of the journal. It is fun to color in the book and go through the journal. The only criticism is that the book was too short, I like a journal that allows for writing in it for more than 5-6 months. It is easier to keep going after a month and it was disappointing to come to the end so quickly.

Review: Fantastic storyline and enjoyable characters. I found this to be the best of the series, along with the book being one that could be read as a stand alone. There was a lot going on at one time. Which made for a fun ride, at times so much was going on it was like an out of control car. It was worth every minute. I found this story to be the best book Colleen Coble has written. The twists were clever and worth every one of them. Kate and Drake were the leads, however the mystery was so intense that it was not until the end that the layers of this onion were so interwoven and well written. The mystery played out so clever that the end was too fast. That is really my only complaint - the end came to fast.

Pitching' a Fit is Worth the Fit!

Review: I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun storyline and yet quite serious. When Christina’s mother shows up it changes everything. It is quite easy to go through this book without having read the previous book. I really enjoyed the characters and storyline. In many cases it was easy to empathize with Christina. It was a real pulling on the heart strings at some points. There was humor scattered within the story which gave me a break from the tears. Made me want to read the whole series.

Review: I really wanted to see a fast paced novel like the first one, but for me that did not happen. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline was interesting, but it was not as engaging for me. Trudi and Sam were interesting. I found ‘Nevermore’ to be unexciting. It was the big mystery. Unlike the previous book the shift between events lacked the excitement that Annabel Lee had. The reoccurring theme of Edgar Allen Poe was interesting, however in this book it seemed to be more forced. I did find Raven to be a character of good depth and even the villains were well written with very human characteristic which made the end sad. I did find the characters were so realistic is why I am looking forward to the next book.

Review: This was a great book! Although I am reading it out of order it was a stand alone and nothing was revealed to ruin the previous books when I get around to reading them. I really liked all the characters, although Lydia’s mother was difficult they were well written. The characters had flaws, like real people. This story held enough suspense that it kept my interest, yet as always Shelley Gray is a great writer and I have not yet read a book of hers that I did not like. I am looking forward to reading the first two books.

Review: Enjoyed the book overall. I had trouble at the start because Beth was just plain stuck up. I was glad that she came down to earth half way through. Isabella was starting to go back to the less than gracious woman from the previous book. It was a little slower than the first and second book. I liked that there were 2 mysteries going on at once. It was an easy read, although it took me till almost half way to really get into the book. I did like Mike and Nate. Nate’s character was the most constant of all the characters.

Review: I loved the storyline it pulled me in right away. I found Savannah to be very realistic and well written. The storyline flowed very well and the mystery was great. I found the dialogue and the plot were well written. There was enough mystery going on that held my attention. The plot moved at a good speed and before I knew it the end was at hand. So much was happening that it truly was hard to figure out who was the murderer. Clive was just as much of a mystery at the start and as the story progressed the details of who he was were provided. This truly was a great book because little than big mysteries were revealed which kept me hanging on.

Review: Good book on the elements of worship. Interesting for a new convert or for someone who is thinking about worship. Agree with the music during worship, but number one thing I found interesting is how the music of hymns were sometimes tavern tunes. I do not mind modern tunes, but I do believe much of music in church is like a concert not for the congregation. I attended worship where no one sage the hymns because the stylization was not in sync with the screen or in the program. The look of a sanctuary and how things in the building are labeled are all important. I also think that how we view going to church is important. This book was packed with the varied views of other denominations.

Review: I struggled with the book. I found Ella to be young and immature. She had good instincts, but did not always use them. I enjoyed the secrets, however so little of that secret was revealed until almost 1/3 of the story. I struggled because I am not one who likes a saga. So for me it was a mistake to pick up this book. I was dazzled by learning a long held secret. The writing was solid, and the characters did mature. But overall this was not my favorite type of book.
